Welcome

I think in every person there is a dream.  It may seem impossible now, or it may seem just out of reach.  But a step in faith will bring us that much closer.

Do you have a story of a step of faith that taught you something new and profound?

As for me, some part of me has wanted to write a book for as long as I can remember.  But weeds came into my life and crowded out the dream.  Now I can see the time is coming.  The plan is to take a couple years to wait on God and prepare to share his message.  I would like to compare notes with people like you!

In preparation for this book I recently rediscovered Facebook and found myself on a “side mission” of responding to posts on Christian Facebook groups.  I soon realized that I was mostly writing to hear myself because there are so many people talking and so few listening.   I am really surprised at the intolerance and division that exists between Christians.  It reminds me of the same passion secular people put into political debate.

I’ve had another dream since maybe 20 years ago to set up a web site where Christians of different denominations could share ideas -- so we can learn and grow together.  When Facebook came, I thought that platform would fulfill this need among Christians. Now I’m not so sure.

A recent post by speaker Vlad Savchuk said, “Protect your anointing by not engaging in battles that have no reward.”  This is good advice.  Don’t throw pearls to the swine.  What good is it to write a careful response to a post when it gets lost in the shuffle or inspires offended replies?  Perhaps the time has come for this site after all.

By the way, in the old days you needed a Christian degree before becoming a blogger.  But now something like being a mom seems to be a credential.  Well, I’m a mom, and one of my sons calls me a “sage!”  (Box checked!)  But besides that, I have been part of quite a few churches of all sorts of denominations over the years, and I’ve listened to many thousands of hours of Christian teachings.

If you are looking for Biblical scholarship there are many web sites out there for you to check out apologetics, eschatology and hermeneutics.  But if you prefer everyday life stories with Biblical principles, check out this site.  It may become part of your journey!

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” - Romans 1:17

Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true. -Psalms 119:142
